| Chinitas Lodge is the place for those who want to enjoy the diversity of flora and fauna that we have to offer. From the moment that you enter the heavenly waters of Tortuguero Lagoon, you will be surrounded with beautiful vegetation and an amazing variety of wildlife.

What we offer: |
Our rooms are equipped to sleep four, with hot water, fan and closet. We have available a large area for lounging, complete with hammocks.
Our food services specialize in local Caribbean recipes.
We offer a variety of tours which include tours of the canals and the trails within the National Park of Tortuguero, a climb up to the highest point in the area for a view from the Cerro San Francisco. We can take a tour of the village area; and in the season when the turtles are arriving to lay their eggs (July-Oct), we offer turtle tours.
Included in your tour we provide a bilingual guide /with more than 25 years of experience.

One night lodging, including breakfast $25 per person.
Package #1:
Two days, one night, lunch, dinner and breakfast. A canal tour and a tour of the village.

What do I need to bring to Tortuguero? |
- Ponchos or raincoats
- Binoculars
- Camera with lots of film
- Mosquito repellent and sunscreen

- Dark clothes (during the turtle season; for observing the turtles on the beach at night)

How do I get to Tortuguero ?
|
There are several ways to get to Tortuguero:
- From Guess Casas Verdes, Cariari de Guápiles with Transport company Acuáticos Bananero.
- From Pavona Cariari de Guápiles, Transporte Clic Clic or Coopetraca.
- From Caño Blanco, Siquirres Limón, by private transport.
- By plane from San José to Tortuguero.
- From the docks of Moín in Limón to Tortuguero by private transport.

Where is Tortuguero National Park ? |
You will find 50 kms of marvelous tropical forests in the Tortuguero National Park. From the Port of Moin in Limón to the southwest end of Guápiles, you find another 30 km. more of park.
There are 26,604 hectarses of land and 45.755,45 hectares of marine park. The park is situates between the Caribbean coast and the low hills of Coronel, Caño Moreno and the hills of Sierpe to the west.
The temperature of the area fluctuates between 25ºC and 30ºC, with an annual precipitacion of 4500 to 6000 mm. |
