Kuluchs tours is located in Tortuguero National Park, which is a tropical rain forest. Tortuguero receives annual precipitation of 5000 to 6000 millimeters.
The majority of the area is made up of floodable plains, surrounded by a series of hills on the eastern side which are known as the "Serpent Hills" or "Blue Hills."
An abundant network of canals, lagoons and rivers wind through the park and serve as methods of communication, as well as a home to abundant species of animals, including manatees, otters, gaspar, caymen, and a large variety of fish, both salt and fresh water.
Among the mammals who live in the forest are spider monkeys, howler monkeys and white-faced monkeys. The park is also home to many species in danger of extinction including the jaguar, tapir, paca, white faced wild pig, and others. There are also a large number of aquatic and land birds.
Between the months of February and October, the beaches of the park are a home to 4 species of sea turtles: the leatherback, green turtle, carey, and loggerhead.

Kuluchs tours is located on the main street near the secondary dock. We offer very affordable packages. We use local guides who are licensed by the ICT (Instituto Costarricense de Turismo). We also rent cars.
